25 February 2014
To ensure that the public is given sufficient time to budget for and buy their tickets to the NAMAs, ticket sales has gone live today, Tuesday 25 February 2014. There are 768 VIP and 1 968 standard tickets available, which will be for sale at Computicket Shoprite Checkers and Checkers outlets country-wide. This year’s awards will take place on the 3rd May at the Swakopmund Indoor Sports Centre.
As an opening special, if the public buy a ticket between 25 February and 31 March, they will get N$ 50 discount on their tickets, meaning a VIP ticket that normally sells for N$ 500 will now sell for N$ 450 only while a standard ticket that sells for N$ 250 will now only sell for N$ 200 during the special. Everyone is invited to mingle with all the best `Namibian’ musicians of 2014.
NAMA Executive, Tim Ekandjo, says, “This year, we have opened ticket sales early so that people who want to attend are given a chance to buy tickets. Please note that absolutely no ticket sales will be allowed at the venue, so to avoid disappointment, the public are advised to start booking as soon as possible.”
Ekandjo has noted that quite a few corporates have already started buying tickets for their staff and clients in bulk and he therefore expects the tickets to be sold out this year, so the public is encouraged not to wait till the last minutes to buy their tickets.
